Introducing Blacksheep Sciences

Our previous company name, Blacksheep Power, was always about challenging the norm. When we started, the goal was simple: do things differently. We built the name around the idea of challenging conventions - being the outlier, the question-asker, the team that didn’t just follow the usual playbook.

Over time, our projects became more research-driven. We started building tools, designing experiments, and collaborating with scientists and thinkers. At some point, we realized: Blacksheep Power no longer captured what we actually do.

Designing microfluidic platforms. Prototyping biotech tools. Collaborating with researchers. Thinking more critically, more rigorously, and more boldly about how science can be made accessible, experimental, and useful. Somewhere along the way, “Power” no longer felt like the right fit.

So today, we’re officially becoming Blacksheep Sciences - a name that reflects not just what we do, but how we think. It speaks to our growing body of work in life sciences, engineering, and innovation. And it captures what’s always driven us: curiosity, creativity, and a refusal to settle for default answers.

We’re still the same team - just a little more focused now, and a lot more excited for what’s next.

The blacksheep spirit remains.
